World's best merino

New Zealand Merino baby clothes is world's best baby clothes

world's best merino / the merino difference / your merino garment

Our merino is sourced from certified organic New Zealand farms where the merino sheep roam free, doing what sheep do, thinking sheepy thoughts and enjoying their life in paradise.

Once a year, they are happy to haven their heavy fleeces shorn. And every year, they grow it back again - luckily for all of us.

Did you know: Our New Zealand merino is proven best in the world.
New Zealand makes the longest, whitest purest and strongest merino on the planet.

What this means to you, is a more pure and better looking garment. Less dye is needed for the naturally white fibres to take in colour and less pilling as the fibres are long and strong. And you can throw it in the washing machine and dryer too.

we know the merino sheep behind our clothing

We know the farm where our organic Merino sheep live.

We’ve seen the mountains where they graze.

We’ve sought only the highest quality Merino, sourced organically (certified) and treated with kindness (no mulesing, that goes without saying!).

no animal cruelty only happy sheep making the worlds best baby wool

the organic merino we use is:

  • Harvested sustainably
  • Processed with clean chemical free mountain water
  • Manufactured to the highest quality in New Zealand

We back nature by ensuring every step of the Roots & Wings journey from sheep to store is chemical-free, low-impact and as eco-friendly as possible.

(no planet is harmed in the making of our garments)

Did you know: Organic merino is a scarce and sought-after resource. It is not mass-produced.

Never was there a more perfect choice of material to place against your child’s precious skin; keep them warm in winter, cool in summer – the roots to grow, the wings to fly.
