Happy New Year: A Letter From Our Founder

Thanks to your ongoing support and love of pure, organic merino, 2017 was a milestone year for Roots & Wings. I’ve enjoyed every minute of 2017, both the amazing and the not so flash moments. As a company, we’ve certainly had a bit of both. It is not always smooth sailing being a business owner and a parent of three little ones. I know most of you will relate to that. But we wouldn’t want it any other way, would we? 

 

We expanded our e-commerce business to New Zealand and Australia last year, and it brought us such joy to see that parents around the world are passionate about being responsible consumers who care where their children's clothes come from. We also widened our product range to provide even more options for babies’ needs. Furthermore, we were lucky to recruit new amazing people to join the Roots & Wings family, which will allow us to provide you with more sensational merino experiences in 2018.

 

We have some very exciting plans for this year,  from expanding our product offering, age-reach and geography, to launching a new and improved e-commerce site and much more. Our main purpose remains to give our children roots to grow and wings to fly, while at the same time supporting ethical business practices and maintaining 100% transparency in our own business.

 

We couldn’t do any of this without you and your ongoing support. So I thank you very much for that! It’s not always financially an easy choice to buy sustainable garments for your children, so thank you for prioritising that and supporting what we do.

 

I hope you are just as excited about 2018 as we are at Roots & Wings. We look forward to continue to share our journey with you.
